Hello and welcome! I am a licensed psychologist and trauma therapist working with English and Spanish speaking adults.

I believe that we are resilient, have many talents and special attributes that many times are ignored, silenced, rejected or neglected. Experiences of rejection, neglect or discrimination such as these may lead us to deny our true selves or feel fearful to be our authentic selves and negatively impact our wellbeing. In my work as a psychologist, I have come to learn that when we do not get to be our true selves, we may find ourselves moving more and more away from the things that might bring us joy and peace. In my practice, I help support you in connecting to your true self, needs and values and get to the root of symptoms such as anxiety, depression, relational issues, traumatic reactions, anger, dissociation, social isolation, people pleasing and chronic stress. I strive to foster a compassionate, non-judgmental space to support you in doing the courageous work of shedding unhelpful patterns, narratives and/or traumas that may be preventing you from fully living.
I work with adults experiencing a range of symptoms, particularly those dealing with identity and cultural issues, experiences of trauma such as narcissistic abuse and/or racial discrimination, difficulties prioritizing one’s own needs in relationships, and issues of self-esteem. I am particularly passionate about working with people healing from identity trauma, resulting from experiencing discrimination/oppression in connection to one or more held identities.
My orientation draws largely from Somatic, Emotion Focused, Psychodynamic, and Mindfulness therapies to help you connect to your body/emotions, recognize your needs/wants, and increase self-compassion. I provide EMDR therapy, an evidenced based treatment, to treat trauma. I provide psychotherapy services in both English and Spanish by phone or video.

This therapeutic approach helps you process through your trauma using an integrative approach to heal your body, emotional reactions, and thoughts. This therapeutic approach is helpful to combat trauma where talk therapies might have failed before. We will work on processing events that are impacting your present life, get to the root of the problem, and free your present and future from impacts of traumatic experiences.
